Speaker Series

Speaker Series

The Defense Security Cooperation University (DSCU) is committed to offering a variety of opportunities for the Security Cooperation workforce and related communities to reflect on evidence-based knowledge and insights. As part of this effort, DSCU hosts a monthly speaker series to provide the opportunity for practitioners, analysts, and researchers to exchange ideas salient to Security Cooperation practice and outcomes. Given both the strategic focus on allies and partners and the expressed need for practitioners to better understand partner realities, the 2025 DSCU Speaker Series theme is “Learning from the Past.”

Objectives

  • Contribute to the establishment of DSCU as the center of intellectual life for the Security Cooperation enterprise
  • Provide opportunities for research findings to reach policymakers and practitioners and build a bridge between the producers of intellectual capital and the intended consumers
  • Establish regular opportunities to build intellectual capital beyond the annual SC Conference and to generate an additional venue to build a sense of community.
  • Facilitate a culture of learning around Security Cooperation in the Department of Defense.
