About Us

Founded in 1976 as the Defense Institute of Security Assistance Management (DISAM), DSCU’s Security Cooperation Studies (SSCS) at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio, directly supports DSCA’s missions of advancing U.S. national security and foreign policy by training, educating, and providing for the long-term development of the Security Cooperation workforce and building the capacity of foreign security forces to respond to shared challenges. SSCS aims to be the focal point for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) education for all Department of Defense personnel and international partner personnel engaged in managing Security Cooperation programs.

The SSCS faculty and staff are focused on building and maintaining curriculum supporting Certification 2.0 requirements and developing other courses and learning activities tailored to specific functional areas and skills in the various FMS practitioner groups.
