Starting FY23, DSCU will no longer create travel orders or issue travel lines of accounting (LOAs) for Security Cooperation courses except for Ministry of Defense Advisor (MoDA) Training courses and the Security Cooperation Officer Spouse course. If needed, DSCA will still provide funds to military departments and other agencies for the purpose of funding include student travel for Security Cooperation (SC) courses. Additional funds should be requested through the normal budget process, by submitting the appropriate funding request to DSCA Comptrollers.

DIILS personnel had the honor of attending a ceremony to celebrate the career and retirement of CDR David T. Lee, JAGC, USN, who completed 28 years of active service with the U.S. Navy in 2020. Mr. Lee joined the DIILS staff in 2020 as a Maritime Institutional Capacity Building Attorney.
