BPC-255 DOD and DOS in the BPC Space
Take the red pill? Take the blue pill? This class has both pills! Why not take them both and see how deep the rabbit hole goes? The DOD and the DOS work together in the same space- building partner capacity- in the same countries, at the same time, often on the same capabilities. Congress requires the DOD and DOS to work towards better coordination, thus better planning. A recent GAO report indicated that there is insufficient training on DOD-DOS joint planning. Hmmm.. This course will take the students through several robust case studies during which time the student will have the opportunity to examine both 333 and PKO planning considerations, planning timelines, imperatives and best practices. This course will place the student in an interagency space. The capstone experience will be a panel of DOS and DOD planners who will work through several vignettes with the students.
