Acting Dean School of Security Cooperation Studies Senior Lecturer Defense Security Cooperation University

Mr. Hinrichsen assumed the responsibilities of the acting dean of the School of Security Cooperation Studies (SSCS) in January 2025. He oversees the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and acquisition departments that develop curriculum while increasing efficiencies in course design and course execution.
Prior to joining DSCU, he led the FMS new business program office for the MQ-9 Reaper, USAF, and was responsible for procuring standard and customized platforms for U.S. partners.
During his career as an USAF officer where operational logistics and procurement were the focus, he held a multitude of security cooperation positions. Within seven years of overseas assignments, Mr. Hinrichsen served positions in Theater Security Cooperation planning for the Pacific, U.S. customs policy negotiations in Qatar, and the U.S. Special Operations Command as the director of logistics. Additionally, he served as the FMS country program manager at the Air Force Implementing Agency, AFSAC for Africa and Iraq.
Mr. Hinrichsen received a Master of Science in international business management from Troy University and a Bachelor of Science in industrial technology from Southern Illinois University College of Engineering.
