



Dr. Teater joined the Defense Security Cooperation University (DSCU) in December 2022 as a program analyst, and then as a faculty member and chair of regional studies at the College of Strategic Security Cooperation (CSSC). She assumed the role of CSSC acting dean in September 2024.
Dr. Teater has over 20 years of academic and leadership experience in the private sector. Her prior public sector experience includes serving as a policy analyst on South Asia for a bipartisan commission. Her research interests include state identity, political-military relations, regional security cooperation, and security cooperation in South Asia.
Dr. Teater received a Bachelor of Arts in history from Milligan University, a Master of Arts in international relations and comparative politics from Wright State University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in political science from the University of Cincinnati.
