LEAD-301 Leading Organizations

LEAD 301, Leading Organizations develops leadership skills and competencies
for Security Cooperation professionals who develop and manage programs,
organizations, and activities forward in complex, multi-stakeholder
environments. Participants practice making and justifying decisions under
conditions of ambiguity, competing priorities, and incomplete information
while balancing mission objectives, risk, and relationships. Through applied
scenarios and guided reflection, the course focuses on how leaders align
stakeholders, scan the operational environment, understand challenges
associated with a complex adaptive system. Emphasis is placed on practical
decision-making and transfer to the participants day-to day leadership
responsibilities rather than theoretical mastery.

This course is offered through four hours of asynchronous online training
followed by a two-hour Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) session via MS
Teams. To successfully complete the course, participants must pass a final
assessment and achieve 80% or better to receive their certificate of
completion. In addition, students are also asked to complete the course
evaluation at the end of the course to provide valuable feedback on course
design, content, and instruction.

Upon completion of the course, students will receive an email from CSOD with
links to both the course evaluation and the certificate of completion.
