CD-210 Campaign Planning
Combatant Command Campaign Plans are the centerpiece of the Geographic Combatant Command and Functional Combatant Command planning construct and operationalize National and Combatant Command strategies. Campaign Plans focus the command’s day-to-day activities, which include ongoing operations and military engagement, security cooperation activities, exercises, deterrence, and other shaping or preventive activities. Campaign Plans organize and align operations, activities, and investments with resources to achieve Combatant Command objectives and complement related USG efforts in the theater or functional areas. Combatant Commanders identify the resources assigned and allocated to the CCMDs, prioritize objectives, and commit those resources to shape the OE and support the national strategic objectives.
Students will understand the breadth and depth of Campaign Plans, and how they integrate into National level strategies and Contingency Planning. Students will identify lines of efforts, objectives, and specific tasks that should be included within a Campaign Plan.
