SCO-411 Security Cooperation Organization (SCO) Senior Orientation Course
SCO-411, the SCO Senior Orientation Course is a tailored course meant for General/Flag Officers (GOFO) or Promotable / Selected Officers, who are going to GOFO Senior Defense Official (SDO/DATT) assignments with SC programs (Ex: Saudi Arabia, India, Israel, UAE, Egypt, etc) and have not had any formal SCO training previously. This course will provide a senior-level introduction and working level knowledge of SC/SA/SSA programs, mechanisms, and procedures to successfully integrate SCO operations into wider DOD and USG efforts at the Embassy to advance US National Security Objectives.
This course is instructor-led by Defense SCO Institute (DSI) faculty at DSCU Headquarters in Crystal City, Virginia. This course satisfies qualifications for GOFO level SDO/DATTs going to Embassies in accordance with DODI 5132.13. This is not the Security Cooperation Executive Course. This is a tailored course to be arranged between service detailers/career managers, DSCS, and DSI/DSCU.
