FMS-351 FMS Process Management and Mitigation

This is an expert level asynchronous, virtual instructor-led training (VILT) course in the FMS/F pathway that is required. This is an 8-hour asynchronous course that examines challenges within the various stages of the FMS process. The objective of this course is to engage participants to gain a comprehensive understanding and reinforce skills to influence positive outcomes throughout the different phases of the FMS process. Throughout the course, participants will gain a deep understanding of the complexities and challenges involved by focusing on the legal, regulatory and procedural frameworks involved in FMS. By the end of the course, students will be able to identify key stakeholders involved in Pre-LOR planning, execution, and case closure. Additionally, students will be able to understand, apply and use sound judgement to enhance positive outcomes for the international partner as well as USG interests.

The course is focused on problem-based learning and will present the learner with real-world FMS process cases faced by FMS experts in order to build knowledge and skills required to be successful in the FMS process world.  At the end of the course, students will be required to submit a final capstone project that allows them to apply knowledge and skills learned throughout the course to develop a solution to a complex FMS process problem. completion. In addition, students are also asked to complete the course evaluation at the end of the course to provide valuable feedback on course design, content, and instruction.

Upon completion of the course, students will receive an email from CSOD with links to both the course evaluation and the certificate of completion.
