CD-201 Capability Development for Practitioners

This core course is required for all members of the Security Cooperation Workforce and is part of Practitioner certification. It presents the linkages between security cooperation activities and the framework, concepts, and tools of capability development to set conditions for successful security cooperation activities.  Learning the steps of capability-based assessment will help all members of the security cooperation workforce to identify partner nation requirements, capability gaps and potential solutions. This course uses a real-world example to highlight the essential elements to absorb, employ, and sustain an operational capability. Upon completion, students should recognize their role in identifying and assessing partner nation requirements, capabilities, and capacities to inform security cooperation activities.   Note: Students are given two attempts to pass the Final Exam.  If a passing score is not reached, the course progress is reset.
