Strengthening Allied & Partner Air Operations: Key Takeaways from the Regional Air Operations Workshop

In Nov. 2024, the Slovak Republic's Ministry of Defense (MoD) and the Defense Security Cooperation University's Institute for Security Governance co-hosted the 2nd Annual Regional Air Operations Workshop in Bratislava, advancing efforts to integrate multi-role fighter aircraft (MRFA) across allied and partner forces.


The event featured insights and expertise from delegation states senior leaders. The Indiana National Guard, as Slovakia's State Partnership Program partner,

Delegations from Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, United Kingdom, Slovakia, and Ukraine participated, representing ministries of defense, general staffs, and air forces. Together, they tackled key challenges in human resource management and operational planning for a combat ready MRFA enterprise.


This workshop strengthened regional collaboration, enhanced interoperability, and underscored the shared commitment to cooperative defense.
