AME-350 Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning for Program Improvement

AME 350, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning for Program Improvement is an expert-level course that builds on the Advanced Assessment Methodology course (AME 330) and equips Security Cooperation professionals with the knowledge and skills to monitor capability development over time. Participants will understand how to assess insights gathered from monitoring data and subsequently adapt M&E methodologies during implementation to determine if Security Cooperation activities are relevant, effective, and sustainable. In this 3-hour Virtual Instructor-led course, participants will be able to validate M&E recommendations for revision of Security Cooperation programs to maximize effectiveness and reduce risks to execution and sustainment. Participants will also discuss how to evaluate Security Cooperation programs’ overall contribution to partner nation capability development at the end of the SSCI lifecycle and identify lessons learned for future design of related Security Cooperation programs.At the end of the course, students will have two opportunities to achieve an 80% or better on the final assessment to receive their certificate of completion. In addition, participants are also asked to complete the course evaluation at the end of the course to provide valuable feedback on course design, content, and instruction.
