PR-304 Case Studies in Strategic Security Cooperation for Experts

PR-304, Case Studies in Strategic Security Cooperation for Experts  is an expert-level course in the Policy and Resourcing  functional area pathway. The course introduces 4 real-world historical case studies and examines the linkages between U.S. policy, strategy, planning and resourcing. In addition, one case study focuses solely on the bridge between “peacetime” security cooperation activities and how these activities change during wartime. The course is designed to provide security cooperation experts insight into how security cooperation activities are nested within policy, strategy and plans while also analyzing how these activities are funded over time. This course also focuses on the changing nature of policy, strategy and planning across administrations.

The course is primarily delivered through Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) and consists of six hours of instruction delivered through DSCU's Blackboard LMS. To successfully complete the course, participants must complete a final assessment that evaluates their awareness of the principles that support security cooperation activities and programs and must achieve 80% or better to receive their certificate of completion.
