A DIILS team traveled to Constanta, Romania this month to conduct a maritime Institutional Capacity Building engagement with Romanian Navy operational and legal counterparts at the Logistics Naval Base. The visit reflected a continuing DIILS partnership to help build up the legal capacity within the Romanian Navy, and identify ways to counter regional maritime challenges through collaboration with other relevant maritime agencies such as the Romanian Coast Guard, and with international partners. DIILS looks forward to future discussions with the Romanian Navy about leveraging maritime international law as a tool to enhance national and regional maritime security.DIILS Partners with Romania
