Title

Introduction to Security Cooperation

SC Workforce Certification Level

Required for Basic Level Certification for all SC Workforce Members

Description

This course is designed for personnel who perform security cooperation duties, and provides an overview of the full range of security cooperation activities. It is a scenario-based, self-paced, online course. This course is based on U.S. interaction with the fictitious country of Bandaria. The use of a single scenario enables curriculum to follow a strategy to capability paradigm. Upon completion of the course, students should have gained an awareness and retained basic knowledge across the broad spectrum of the DoD SC Workforce Competencies.

Objectives

For students to summarize the DoD interactions with international partners, known as Security Cooperation (SC), and recognize the totality of policy, planning, assessment, monitoring, execution, evaluation, and end-use control processes associated with executing effective SC activities and programs. Such recognition and awareness prepares the student to interact with numerous stakeholders in executing SC activities and programs in support of U.S. national security objectives.
